I am happy with my DCC system and have no plans to change as I try to get
this layout finally as near completion as I can. However, I can see a
protoypical basis for battery operated. If recharging could be done only at
engine terminals or water tanks, then another aspect of the prototypical
operation could be obtained. Obviously of appeal only to those who enjoy
operating prototypically. Though not cleaning wheels relieves a minor headache.
