The S Sig at www.sscale.org is pleased to announce an illustrated article by Brooks Stover which presents his philosophy and modeling efforts on his well-known BC&G layout. Click on S SCALE PRODUCTS & RESOURCES and then MODELING FROM THE PROTOTYPE and you will find it. Brooks' article is the first of many about following a specific prototype with your modeling efforts. Experts on a variety of roads are preparing articles listing S scale products - both current and past - which are appropriate for a road-specific layout. Road-specific listings of products and articles with photographs will be appearing eventually for the NYC, UP, SP, MILW, etc., etc., etc. and..last, but not least....the PRR. In addition, a quick glance at River Raisin Model's new USRA 0-6-0 locomotive is the latest entry in THE S SCALE JOURNAL.
