Hi All,

I've been making lots of minor changes all throughout the NASG web site. Thank you all for providing me with up-to-date and corrected information. I really appreciate the help. I pretty much work in a vacuum here, so I need everyone's input.

Tonight I added Roger Nulton's "Seniority Rights" photo to the Scale Modeling page. Thank you, Roger, for the great model, great photo, and for so graciously allowing us to use it on the site.

The great photos "donated" by all are really showing that S is still alive and vibrant.

Be sure to check out the "New Product Announcements" section of the "News and Events" page, because there's been lots of S-related news lately.

I've been working on the Online Membership Directory feature of the site over the past week or so. As previously stated, you can view and optionally update your own membership profile information. I recently added the ability for you to change your password for the Online Membership Directory access (once you've signed up). Tonight I added the ability to view NASG membership statistics. These show the number of members, how many members are interested in certain aspects of the S world, etc. I may add more statistics down the road. These are automatically pulled from the Directory's database, so you will always get the latest information. Of course, this section requires that you are an NASG member and that you have registered for online access.

I think this completes the first wave of updates and needed features of the site since its rebirth at the beginning of the month. There are still plenty of things on the to-do list, so stay tuned.

I don't plan on announcing all changes made to the site to all the various Yahoo Groups every time there's an update. I encourage you to join the "nasgmembers" group on Yahoo, where I do post update notices (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nasgmembers/). If you want to stay up-to-date but don't have a Yahoo account, see the RSS feed on the NASG web site's "News and Events" page. Click on the orange icon on the "Top 10 Recent Web Site Changes" header or at the bottom of that section. In that section, I've also added a link to the excellent Model Railroad Hobbyist video tutorial, explaining what RSS feeds are.

Claude, the NASG Membership Secretary, mentioned to me the other day that he's been quite busy with all the updates and renewals, so I'm glad that the new NASG web site, at least partially, has increased interest in the organization.

Thank you,
 - Peter.
