Dear S Scale friends,
Here we go again .... I ask, where would we be today without American Flyer by A.C. Gilbert? Lionel jumping on board our S gauge Band Wagon is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to enjoy and to reap benefits now and in the future, Then many other companies will also want to jump on board too! There is room for all! Problem is that many of our newer modelers didn't go through what Don is talking about, building our rolling stock out of kits and/or converting other models into S scale.(or S Gauge) Like bashing American Flyer into scale ... Oh MY! I can promise you all one thing for sure, we were much happier back in those days then we are now. Everything today has to be so concise, so precise that modelers can't seem to enjoy the hobby. At times, I have to laugh when we get into the measurements of the prototypes we are modeling, down to the fractions. WOW!
