It was brought to my attention that there was a series of articles in the
magazine "O Scale Trains" written by Pecos River Brass owner John Smith
titled "Crapola From The Cupola" on his experience starting out in the brass
business and dealing with the constant chaos of builders coming and going.
If you still question why brass models cost so much this is simply a MUST
read. There is even an encounter with Charlie Sandersfeld in the far away
land which I found to be most interesting.

The story is spread out over 13 issues but I have done the heavy lifting
here. http://www.lanestrains.com/O_Scale_Trains.zip You can download them
all and spend a few very interesting hours reading about it all.
