Hi Dave: Short covered hoppers. Both ribbed side and "centerflow" looking types.
You can also model inbound fracking sand. All you need is a siding/spur and a portable under-car conveyor. Trucks will transload out of each hopper. The trucks were covered hopper-type semi's. During the peak fracking sand business we had a few years ago, we had three different fracking companies. Each had a track of about 20 car or more capacity, one had two tracks of the same capacities. We would pull up to 20 empties and spot in 20 loads for each company. I have more to say on the subject but am typing this while eating on my sausage/egg/cheese biscuit and slurping orange juice. Gotta' run and head for work.
