Chris, If you have an NP Q6, you have a real treasure. I saw a Q6 only once the night I rode the NP Santa Claus train--yes, that's what the NP called an extra passenger train operated between Thanksgiving and Christmas with a rider coach at the end. Rode it between St. Paul and Minneapolis and thought a diesel was at the head end. When I walked up to front at the GN station in Minneapolis, I got a glorious surprise. That was either 1956 or 1957. I envy you.
Unless some scalers out there model the NP during the time it had steam, I don't recall any company producing NP steam engines. How about a photo of the engine at some point? Old, dusty and weighs a ton but very well built. Was this available, at one time, as a standard kit from SSL&S or was this a kit bash project? Are there many of these in circulation? It's the only one I've ever seen in S. Any NP modelers out there in S land? Any other NP steam to be had in S? Any info on this loco would be appreciated. Thanks.
