  Now that you mention it I can't recall seeing expansion joints up on 
tehachapi, maybe I just didn't notice them, I do recall automatic flange 
greasers. I think all the curves would help out with rail expansion/contraction 
problems as there's lots of space for it to be absorbed?...DaveBranum
