I saw Bob & Brian Jackson's layout when the convention was in St Louis. It
was probably the largest S Scale layout I have ever seen. The basement kept
going into a reasonable shop area as well. It is pretty huge!

There was some sort of scenery on most of it with much of it in the DONE
category. The thing that impressed me was the awesome use of static grass
which was pretty much done throughout. I have not done it myself yet but it
absolutely convinced me that is the only way to go. Ground up foam looks
like ground up foam. There is somewhat of a clash of eras n the layout at
the same time. Ironically Brian is the steam maven and Bob like "newer"
rolling stock.

Definitely worth a visit if you are even close to being in the area.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
