I got mine today, also. I will be making some “adjustments” to get proper
loco tender coupling distance (cut down the cab apron and drill a new hole
in the drawbar). And no, I am not surprised by the running qualities of
your loco. Virtually ALL of my RRM steamers have SUPERIOR running
qualities ( I have ten ) and watching them start a train is just amazing.
Guests usually don’t see it until the train is making about 5 scale MPH...
I almost don’t want to put sound in them because that will give it away!

I received my RR 0-6-0 via UPS yesterday. Lovely model, and among the best
(if not THE best) running model right out of the box that I have ever run.
Maybe not news to owners of other RR models, but pleasant to find for my
first of their products.
