I've been working to get SHABBONA in shape for layout tours next weekend (April 13-15). Got some more ground cover down in the Mooar engine terminal, and added a strip of foam along the back edge of The Humongous Company for more foliage, etc.I'm also working on some other backdrops to hide the furnace and water heater, etc.
Next week, I hope to break in an assistant operator or two in order to help coordinate abbreviated scheduled train movements. The only trains that will operate will be the passenger trains and the 2nd Class freight trains. I wish I had time to put the passing siding in service at Mt. Zion, but I guess that will have to wait. Trains can still meet inbound and outbound at the yards. About the only ancillary operations will be changing the cabooses on inbound freight trains in order to turn them for a return trip, and turning the passenger locomotives on the turntable at Terminal District Bob Nicholson _______________________________________________ --- In [email protected], "scale S only" <scalesonly@...> wrote: > > Itâs time to revive the Friday Night Fun ... > > For the last couple of weeks the honey-do list has kept me a bit busy and > away from the trains.
