With the misfortune SHS has been hit with, the lack of the availability
their track is perhaps more universal than any shortage of rolling stock. If
you can't get track to make new layouts you probably don't need much new
rolling stock.

Others making new SHS profile rail is nothing new and is actually something
I had thought about doing more than once in the past year+. If executed I
would probably have it by now. But in the end it did not happen mostly but
not completely in respect to Don and the hopeful and eventual return to SHS
making the track themselves. Another factor was I had enough flex track on
hand for my layout. It might have been another matter if I was stuck for
completing the plan because of a track shortage. I am sure my current stash
of SHS flex track will last me to whatever plans I might have for mainline
trackage additions with some left over. Having rail is a good thing but
having track is better.

Using this Yahoo group as a main source of a marketing inquiry is rather
shortsighted. WE are not the only S Scalers there are. For something as
primary as rail - dive right in and make it happen. Buy once & cry once. You
can only hope to get a good R O I.

With the above said I would be interested in 1 bundle of SHS rail not
weathered from the first person that can put it in my hands. I am trying to
not kill any more flex track if possible.

Bill Lane
