Sorry to be posting again, but I posted late last night and wanted to go
earlier tonight. Of the 10 people who voted in the poll I've heard from 6. We
are close, very close and I would like to hear from the remaining 4 if
possible. Instead of going to April 29th we can go ahead and close this out
soon.
Since we are limited as to prototype to what Jim King has done in HO I've had
a suggestion that one could sand the ends down and get a stand-in for the C&O.
I also looked at the Virginia Tech N&W site. The N&W had some add on
shields, not integeral, in their H-2,H-3,H-5,and H-7 twin and triple hoppers.
There is a photo of #19321 among others, on the Virgina Tech site. These would
be foobies for sure, but then N&W hoppers with no heap shields in the
transition era are foobies also. The L&N shields are centered while the N&W
offset thier's to the right.
