Ben,
Youngin' that you are, you do not realize that Dan has been a long standing
member of the PPSSW and in fact holds the club speed record for the trip from
Minneapolis to Chicago. I think Tom Lennon may have been his co-pilot.
Dan, great to see your post and I look forward to the opportunity to see you
soon. Are you still making patterns and neat parts? Things continue to change
in the PPSSW, many new faces and a few of us old timers who refuse to go away.
I hope you noted Steve's posting on the PPSSW meeting he hosted last Thursday,
it was a great evening and his layout is beautiful to see. I have visited
layouts across the country and Steve's is among the elite.
As way of a report from the Minnesota Heartland, I have not spent much time on
the layout. I have been finishing up a car kit and becoming fluent in JMRI so
I can program DCC decoders. Steve is using all Tortoise switch machines and
Hares but I still use many ground throws so I use Frog Juicers to power the
frog. If you have seen their literature, you know their frog mascot is sipping
a cool one wearing a happy frog look. I found out why when the manufacturer
sent me instructions on how to make a "frog juicer" drink. Model Railroading
is fun. Gotta run, it is almost 5:00 PM.

Ribbit
