It's not too early to discuss plans for the weekend starting this Friday
night. As mentioned before, I'm in the tail end of decaling three
projects. My UP CA-4 backdated caboose is finished and returned to
service. My Southwind C&NW (ex-NYC) combine entered service last night
and I'm about 80% on my UP Geep 30's. Tonight I need to add some engine
numbers to the ends, and complete the red stripe on the hoods.
Hopefully before it gets hot on Saturday morning I'll behind an airbrush
doing some weathering on those engines.

Weathering is sometimes the scary part of the finishing. I've used the
airbrush, dry brushing and various chalks/powders. Each system or a
combination of them produces their own benefits and pitfalls. I've been
happy with some of my work, but other times, I'd rather not mention the
results.

Anyway I hope to have some time to glaze the windows and reassemble the
engines as the highly paid company photographer will be in the yards
Sunday evening!
