Missed that trip. Great convention. Wore out the valve gear on one of my
doubled headed Omnicon I-1's.

A number of years ago, the NMRA convention was held in Madison WI. The Friday
of that convention, we had a fan trip on old Milwaukee Road track from Madison
to Prairie du Chien WI. The Train was pulled by a pair of restored F-7's with a
camera in the lead loco and monitors in all of the cars. Some of the land the
tracks are on goes through low and swamp land. At some point in a swampy area,
4 cows got on the track with no place to go but stay on the roadbed. The train
chased the cows for a mile or two until we came to a dry area where the cows
got off of the tracks. We all thought that would be some "lean beef".
