Considering the unlit pit my basement **was** when I got my house my concern
was just getting it lit. For the entire basement there was 2) 100 watt bulbs
- recessed IN the rafters - and 8 feet total of fluorescent lights, Kelvin
etc was not my concern. It was almost like a dank desolate dungeon! I now
have about 90 running feet of fluorescent lights that mostly are the newer
thinner tubes that are energy saving. It is split in 2 switch zones by ½ of
the basement. I installed the fixtures at about where I thought the layout
would be and it really worked out well. Now with the layout and lights up it
would be pretty difficult to install a finished ceiling. About 1/3 of the
basement has it now which came with the house.

As for the background I just went to Home Depot and picked a “sky blue”
color I liked. The woman at the paint counter has worked there too long and
offered NO help! (:->) With the fluorescent lighting and background color I
figured I would deal with photography issues when I get to it.

Bill Lane
