there was a 2 part article in rmc 5-7 years ago about the coal docks at reading, could this be what he is seeking, if anyone has an up to date selection with indexes, could you try and locate these articles, he evidently doesn't subscribe to rmc, if you can identify the issues i will try to locate them in my disaster area, and send him copies to finish this

The ones I remember were lifted up on an elevator to an elevated section of track and travelled to the ship they were loading. The may be some old dockers who may remember it. Mind this was way back in the 1960's. I think the carrier might been Norfolk & Western. Dont think it was called that then. I may have the port wrong as we also called at Norfolk Va on the same trip.
