This might not help much but possibly a little: The issue of "Classic Trains" featuring David Ingle's shots of Rock Island passenger trains in and out of the Kansas City Union station also had an advertisement from the Chicago & North Western Hisotrical and Technical Society offering a book or monograph on Pullman cars leased to the railroads around 1950. True, that does not go back to the Twenties and Thirties, but it might offer some useful information.

Any ideas? Thanks Much. May have been right here on this forum. I'm particularly interested in cars that would have been used in and out of Mpls/St.Paul (on either the Short Line Express or Mid-Continent Special). Thanks, -Mark
