Speaking of heavyweight interiors, wasn't there a company--Palace Car Company comes to mind--out in Nebraska that made the more modern reclining seats? I mention that because many of the heavyweight cars were retrofitted in remodeling with the same type of seats as the streamlined cars had. In fact, I rode the trains of quite a few railroads during the Fifties and Sixties and except for the streamliners had to ride a heavyweight coach and never rode in one be it on the GN, NP, CB&Q, C&NW, CGW, B&O, GTW, SOO that had the old walkover seats. They all had reclining, comfortable, more modern seats. Is that outfit still in business?
