Here is the latest from Frank Sergent about the new S coupler. The quoted portion (below) of his response came with his reply to an e-mail I sent him about the availability of the coupler height gauge he offers in HO scale :
Shorter (and longer) versions of the coupler are something I'll get to once I get my investment casting problems out of the way (as well as the S scale coupler). I'm getting closer on both fronts. Nothing goes as quickly as I wish it did, but I'm optimistic that 2013 will be a very exciting year. Frank So there you have it... a very likely arrival time for the new S scale Sergent couplers!
