Hi Don; Yes, provision for a ventilator door is another possibility. It is strange that none of the literature I have seen on the design comment on this feature.
I regret that you made the change in the roof, although I understand that it allowed the tooling to be used on the U.S.R.A. double sheathed and rebuilt cars. Still, it means that the later run SS cars need to have the track extended. I recently modified a MILW car from a later run, and swapped the roof for one from a stock car to get the full length door track. The above comment aside, thanks for making such great cars!
