My suspicion is that there are lot more HO guys banging on the door than S
guys. John Degnan is a "banger" -- no doubt about that. But how many others
are banging away?

General satisfaction with the Kadee line of couplers is obvious. Do those who
are happy with Kadee want to go actively searching and banging on a door for
something else -- even if it is more realistic?

And don't forget, the Sergent coupler does have a few "differences" when
compared to Kadees. Like no way to uncouple using distant magnets. Thus,
everything must be done within an arm's reach which means sidings farther away
are not operationally feasible with Sergents.

So the "hold up" is most likely due to a broadly acceptable alternative
product, a few shortcomings with the new product and the quest for ultimate
realism being important to only a small subset of the hobby population in a
very minority scale. A tough situation to be sure.

Still........it would be nice to have the product.
Keep banging, John!!

Just some thoughts.....Ed L.
