I purchased one of the completed cars from Dick Karnes many years ago.
I did a excellent job in building it. The only downside, he also
painted the trucks that really ugly green color--just had to get rid of
those trucks. Actually I received it with vintage Bettendorf type
trucks, because the Ace RB were too large to fit. I later fit some the
original Jackman SSA trucks and they seem to do fine.
Dick later sold me two more that he started. I sold one but have the
second one,-- in the waiting to finish box. I don't know if all the
parts are there either.
One of the conventions where we attended a museum, contains one of those
cars--Chicago/Illinois State Museum would be my guess. Funny, for a
long time that was the most modern car we had and it's in a museum!

I wouldn't forward this were it not for the fact that we once had a
kit in S for an all-door boxcar. Conversation on the MFCL suggests
that such car is essentially a bulkhead flat plus doors & roof.
