Dave....

The S Sig does not consider the S GAUGIAN magazine to be a non-S publication.
The new searchable data base includes S-related articles in 25 different
magazines none of which are considered S publications. The time span covered
in this data base exceeds 20 years.

The best way to locate articles in past issues of S publications is to inquire
of the Publisher and probably purchase a back issue. Most magazine Publishers
are happy to provide this information for you.

Since the S Sig is here to help, we can consider adding S-oriented publications
to our web site if there is a volunteer out there in S-land willing to do ALL
the work. This means reading every issue of every S magazine (Sn3 Modeler, S
GAUGIAN, 3/16 "S"cale Railroading, S GAUGE HERALD, NASG's DISPATCH, etc.) for
the past 20 years and compiling the listing in electronic form as specified by
our Web Meister. I cannot even begin to estimate how many manhours this
project might take.

How many volunteer hands are raised for that task? Don't feel too bad, my hand
didn't go up either.

Now you have a rough idea of how much time and effort Lee Johnson, Rance
Velapoldi and Chris Borgmeyer put into this project.

Last but not least, the S Sig is dependent on the S scale community at large to
help us keep this database current and up-to-date. We need you to tell us of
current S articles in non-S publications. Without your help, the data base
might not keep up with the most recent articles.

Do we see a hand or two for this task which is much smaller? You could start
with January 2011 and work forward.

Cheers.....Ed L.
