Hi 'ya Bill!

Sounds like you're doing your homework. Your layout will be good. You will have
fun. Be sure to share pics once the structure building/placing begins.

  Andre,

A few things.. My layout currently is 30" wide throughout. An "in my head"
addition that may or may not ever happen might allow for some slightly wider
areas. But for now I am 30" for all. That does not leave much room for scenery.
In that width I am not trying for any forced perspective though. I will also
hopefully not have true S buildings right next to "borrowed" HO buildings.

Enter the HO buildings. They are plentiful in variety, pretty reasonable in
price and not very big - all good things for me. The REA building had to be
raised only 1/8" to perfectly match the floor height of an X29. Yes only 1/8"
really surprised me too. Put in some S Scale people doors and DONE! In the end
it is mostly about price, ease of assembly and variety to get coverage in what
is possibly 100 running feet of backdrop. Besides the station shed (Also a
Walthers kit that needs to be raised and built) I don't foresee many buildings
that I don't already have that will be off of the background.

I actually just now checked eBay to learn for the first time Walthers had
some Cornerstone buildings in O. I will keep that direction in mind and see
what is available.

  Thank You,
  Bill Lane
