Thanks for adding greatly to the subject. Such a post would have taken me HOURS to write! However the material used to make my RP master patterns (Prototherm) is not wax or anything close to it. Some of the masters can be seen on my Solidworks page. http://www.lanestrains.com/SolidWorks_Modeling.htm I liken them to a very firm gel. They are translucent and somewhat flexible but can break. Finally as I have mentioned previously that Prototherm would not likely be used as a final use part or detail especially for a wear item like side frames. So when are you going to start making us some nice S Scale brass models? I have a few ideas!
