John,

I have 2 kits which will make a shed almost 4 feet long. I have 2 placement
options. Note the truss is just propped in place. Photo 2640 shows
completely covering my inside main and ½ covering the outside main. This is
likely what I will do. Photo 2643 shows the truss set back 1 track which is
about a 5 foot long runaround track.

My track centers are as follows: outside main to inside main = 3”. Then from
the outside main to the other tracks are approximately at 8, 13, and 17
which again is the runaround. The shed truss is 13” tip to tip. My
sidewalks/platforms are just under 3” wide.

One of my current concerns is structure. How is this going to be built as
one 4’ long building that can be strong enough to removed as a unit if
needed. You want 8 feet? That is a lot.

Further I think much more than what I want to make will dominate the entire
layout as being massive and by far the largest building. I could probably
fit another 2 feet of the large shed if I wanted but I want to break it up
by using the Umbrella or similar sheds to the ends of the scene.

If I am reading this correctly http://www.ebay.com/itm/330758830423 “gutter
to gutter” of the roof would be 2 3/8” which is sounding very promising. I
just wish the sections were longer than 6” each.

I never thought I would be trumpeting the use of HO buildings but again – to
do anything else would cost a ton of money and be a custom building project
which is not something I am overly interested in doing myself or having done
for me.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
