Most impressive...especially the track work.  The double track wye and the
looong curved turnouts look great.  Good looking scenery too.

Subject: {S-Scale List} Houston S Gaugers Web Site Update

Hi All,

I just added photos of our most recent show (belatedly), which was
on Father's Day weekend. That is a show that happens each year in
one of the local malls, on the west side of Houston, TX. They have
some open space next to an indoor ice skating rink (where they
hold hockey practices and games). The rink keeps the area cool,
especially important during this time of the year, however, it can
get extremely loud if a game is going on.

We share the space with layouts of other scales, one each of Z-,
N-, HO-, and O. That way mall visitors get to see examples of each
scale, except for G. Turnout for both days was quite heavy,
although ever so slightly less than last year. The weather may
have had something to do with that, because last year it was
raining, whereas this year the weather was nice.

Our layout ran beautifully, with only a few minor hick-ups with
some of the engines. We got to visit with some friends, and we
even had a fellow S-scaler from the Dallas area visit, who
happened to be in town that weekend with his wife.

Anyway, if you are interested in seeing a few photos, go to

http://www.houstonsgaugers.org/

then click on "Events", and then click on the first entry under
the "Past Events" section of the page.

Enjoy,
 - Peter.
