Walther's as well as, Kalmbach have been noted for featuring both the
Milwaukee Road and the city of Milwaukee in many of their products back
in the day. When Trains magazine needed a photo, they could just run
down to the yards and get the shot. I also would assume plans for that
trainshed would be in the city or RR's own archives.
I'm not a architect or any kind of 'air flow' kinda guy, but it seems
that the peak is for ventilation of hot air while keeping the snow and
rain out. I don't recall, but it would also seem that they would have
put additional vents or stacks near where the engine would be positioned
to aid in venting the smoke and gases up through the roof. I have some
photos shot in later years that could verify that. I think I also have
some video's showing enginemen positioning those semi flexible vents
over the engine stack. The same could be said for roundhouse stalls.
Also, if I lived in Deptford, and was married, would I have a Deptford Wife?

Bob,
I did not know about the Milwaukee heritage with the Walthers kit. As
far as I am concerned it is West Deptford! For some reason I don't
like the little roof at the peak of the shed roof. I want to see if
something else can be done there and have it omitted.
Further - PRR, PRSL, Reading and B&O passenger trains **will** be run
through it.
Thank You,
Bill Lane
