I'm pleased to report that I've been able to spend some quality time with my layout since I've finished remodeling my daughter's bathroom. A simple straight-forward job turned into cost and time over-runs, as usual. Unlike the government, I actually told my daughter this was going to happen before we started. I have several dysfunctional sidings waiting for turnout adjustments and drops. I made a good start at it, but I can only work until my back gives out. I remember when this wasn't an issue. I've decided to stop wandering around the layout as fancy takes me and make a schedule based on limited goals. I'm going to finish the upper half of the layout before I go any further laying track on the lower. In order to do that, I've broken the area up into four major scenes which I intend to complete including scenery, one at a time. I've pretty much decided on photo backdrops from Backdrop Warehouse, but there's still time to change my mind if anyone has a better suggestion.
