I would also buy one of these...  in standard gauge.

Looks good Bill and a good tribute to Howie.    Old school can be good--it
shows our heritage.  I had no idea that Super Scale made such a kit.  That
actually might be a good project for one of our laser cutter manufacturers to
do (wood or plastic).  I don't think the Sn3 folks have any--I'd buy one!

All,

I am here to report progress - again! This is my latest project. It is NOT PRR
and unbelievably  is - freelance! This is the first time I have ever thrown
excessive research to the wind and “winged it’ with available parts and ideas
as they came to me.

I previously mentioned it is rare. I dare say not many here have ever seen this
S Bobber Caboose before. It is an OLD School kit made by Super Scale. I would
like to find out the approximate time period for it. I bought it as a basket
case on eBay to replace my On30 caboose (which I still have & is still for
sale!) to go with my “Howie” Shay as a logging train. It is etched COPPER. The
frame is very soft metal. This is also the first time wheels have stayed with
the model throughout the project – blast booth & all - because I did not want
to risk prying them out!

Thank You,
Bill Lane
