Some of my diesels have fittings for scale couplers but Kadee or SHS Kadee-style couplers do not fit them. I know there is some kind of a coupler pad and maybe the fittings are for the coupler pad rather than the Kadee couplers themselves. I finally got so frustrated that I sent the units to a professional who was able to make the conversions. Let me qualify my comments. It is no problem to get a set of diesel engine wheelsets from AM to do so. It is a simple matter of unscrewing the frames holding the sets in place and changing the wheelsets being careful to align the fittings. Also, they can provide the couplers too. The same ease of conversion is true for their other rolling stock.
