Hi Rachel,

From what has been reported about what M.T.H. is going to do, it seems like they are going to produce S track very early in 2013. If you are not in a hurry, that might be a good idea. Also, you can check out eBay, there seems to be some boxes of S Helper track being sold from time to time. Also, you can always post a "wanted" e-mail to this group to find out what someone had hidden in their closet that they aren't going to use.

As far as other ideas, there is American Models (http://www.americanmodels.com/), Custom Trax (http://www.custmtrax.com/index.html), Tomalco Track (http://www.tomalcotrack.net/), and Tom's Turnouts & Trackwork (http://www.tomsturnouts.com/) for pre-made track. If you want the experience of hand-laying your own track, there are the Fast Tracks jigs (http://www.handlaidtrack.com/Fast-Tracks-S-Switch-Building-Kits-s/46.htm). Also Railway Engineering (http://www.railwayeng.com/) will make track for you (I believe he models in Sn3 himself).

I personally hand-lay code 83 rail. Our model railroad club has hand-laid code 100 rail, with some flextrack in some areas. S Helper and, especially, American Models track is compatible with hi-rail/A.F. wheelsets, so if you are not interested in going purely scale, then those are your options. GarGraves makes the purely A.F.-similar track.

Hope this helps,
 - Peter.
