Is there anyone on this list that has a River Raisin J1 that they operate? I know Bill Lane has one. I am interested exchanging information and experiences with J1 operators. In the near future, I am going to be disassembling it to put in a sound decoder and doing some weathering.
I have been very pleased with my engine, running it on pure DC for now. It draws 0.2 amps and 5 volts when running with a few cars on level track. Even though River Raisin says it needs 48" radius, it somehow negotiates a separate branchline that has 42" radius curves.
