Dear Fellow `S' Scalers;
A few years back I suggested to a number of the `S' Scale hobbyists about a
possible get together in OHIO to coincide with our monthly N.O.S.S. meeting.
The last five years have been successful and a number of you have inquired if
we were doing it again. Since we started doing this people have had conflicts
the prior years and want to attend this year.
You have asked once again, so The Northern Ohio `S' Scalers are willing to host
any guests who would like to attend our September Sixth Annual NOSS Inter-state
Get Together on the last Saturday of September. (09/29/10). We have moved our
normal last Sunday of the month meeting to Saturday to help with traveling. If
the gas is too much and can't travel to the New Jersey S function, think about
stopping by.
As some may or may not know I have been under the weather a bit over the last
year and a half. Two trips to the hospital this year followed by a few weeks
in a re-hab facility to help get my strength back.
So the meeting will not be at our house as in the past. Some construction
projects that went on this year necessitated removing everything off the layout
to be able to get between the basement ceiling joists. In the mean time the
guys have not been able to put the layout back together.
So, we will be meeting down the street.

The club will put on a clinic on Fast Track turnouts, DCC and one or two others
in the works. The new 18 foot N.O.S.S. layout (still under construction) will
be there along with Alan Evans bringing the NASG switching layout.
The hard working N.O.S.S. modelers were rewarded this past summer at the NASG
convention and brought home 9 awards to Northern Ohio. Come as see the models
on display.
As always, lube up those locomotives sitting on your shelves and double check
the KD heights on the engines and cars and bring them to try them on the
layouts. DC or DCC.
Bring what you are currently working on or just completed for everyone's
enjoyment.
The conclusion will still be a picnic either at the Church or back at the
house. Sharron and I would still love to have everyone over. This year we
would like to ask for a $10 contribution from everyone to cover additional
expenses with the location and picnic supplies.
