Good evening: I have an SHS left switch that needs some tuning. There is a small gap where the right point rail meets the rail to the frog. These rails do not form a nice joint; the rail to the frog is slightly to the left of perfect alignment. So wheels going to through the switch pick at this joint.
The problem is much worse with highrail wheels than scale but both pick. (All brands including SHS.) I was thinking of grabbing the rail to the frog with pliers and bending it out so it lines up. But before I get out the files, hammers, and saws, do you have any advice or guidance? Thank you, Thorin
