Anything related to "progress" on SHABBONA has been almost non-existant for the
last few weeks, other than some incidental "armchairing" of ideas I would like
to incorporate.

I did order some CRIP decals from LBR to do those cars, but he has had computer
problems, so that project is on hold, temporarily. I thought about
straightening up my workbench, and actually did a little of that, but as soon
as I had a space cleared, I began working on a brass B&O boxcar that has been
waiting for (approximately) 28 years for dry transfer lettering. I did complete
that project to "good enough" status, and that car has entered the Humongous
Company car fleet. I also added some sill steps to a SHABBONA 2-bay AF
conversion. Next on the agenda for that car will be scratchbuilt ladders to
replace the cast-on "globs" that serve the purpose at this time. I am always on
a quest for simplified, expedient ways to improve the looks of SHABBONA
rolling stock, since my interests lean as much towards operating a railroad as
it does towards building the components.

There have been some locomotive reassignments taking place. RS-1 #30 was
shipped to Mooar yard to substitute for SW-1 #22 as The Humongous Company plant
switcher. #22 will be undergoing a 90-day inspection at Mooar. RS-2 #34, which
has served as a back-up engine at Mooar has been sent to Terminal District as
the assigned yard engine, while RS-3 #37 has replaced it at Mooar. All other
locomotive assigments remain unchanged at this time.

No progress to report on the CRIP DL109 project. I have located some potential
power unit sources, but the project remains on hold at this time, due to other
priorities, including the thought that maybe an American Models E-8 in CRIP
colors might be a better idea. In the meantime, I'm giving serious thought to
redoing the turntable bridge rails on the turntable at Terminal District.
