Baldwin used pneumatic throttles on most of their diesels (hence the air MU), 
but did offer a straight electric throttle as an option beginning around 1952 
or so. Reading's last AS16 order had that, and the canceled part that PRSL 
eventually bought was refitted with air throttles and MU before delivery. Some 
roads retrofitted their Baldwins with electric throttles and MU, but most 
didn't bother.
