Hi John: Let Dave Branum's recounting of the transition to roller bearing trucks be your guide. I'm modeling the mid 1990s to early 2000s, so friction bearing trucks would be gone except for MOW and homeroad equipment. So if you were doing the 1970s there would probably be more friction than roller bearing except on new cars and in the 1980s probably more roller bearing than friction. cheers

Almost all are friction trucks. I don't know exactly when friction trucks were made obsolete, but I'll bet the fifties sometime.
