It has been reported/rumored on railcarphotos.com and other sites
that BNSF has started a heritage grain hopper program and will do
three each of ATSF, BN, CB&Q, C&S, FW&D, GN, NP, SLSF, SP&S. All
will be painted gray.
This Great Northern car is apparently the first one. Note that the
lettering appears to be 1940s style but it is the "Mod" goat from
the Big Sky blue era, mid-1967-1970.
