From: Alan Lambert Fort Worth, Texas Ed, Sounds like we all need to send Fred a donation so he can do more. Doing what he dooes is not cheap meaning he could di it for the scale and high rail guys and make a bigger profiton things. Ther are more High rail guys that would like to see more done. that includes me. I look at the scale layouts and get all kinds of ideas. Alan Lambert

If Lionel can make a 2-8-8-2 run on AF track, so can MTH. The reason large steamers are made is because they sell very well. What's wrong with that? Lionel's 2-8-8-2 is very scale-like in appearance except for flanges and couplers. I'd expect to see some interesting coversions to scale by someone who can make treads/flanges to replace what comes with the Lionel product. (Fred Rouse -- hint, hint -- call me if interested in this.) > I would love to see a PRR H-10 Consol, myself. Telling a Yahoo Group what steamer you want will have a neglible effect. Telling Lionel, MTH or both, might have some influence. NOT telling MTH what PRR loco you want is a guaranteed way to lose out to the the NYC guys. And that would be truly horrible! > Criticize at your leisure. > Jim Lyle No criticism, but lots of suggestions. Cheers....Ed L.
