Bill,

I apologize for knowing next to nothing about the Pennsy. My prototype road is
the CGW. Interesting sidebar about the CGW is that A. B. Stickney, the founder
of the company, wanted to imitate the PRR in being a granger version of the
standard railroad of the world.

Historians agree that in this he fell far short of the goal. But now to your
stock car models. You refer to the "shortcomings" of your cars. They look
pretty good to me, and I do not object to altering an AM box car for such a
project. I'm curious about the shortcomings to which you refer. I have to
believe that a PRR stock car pergrinated out to Iowa and operated on the CGW.

Tom

Subject: {S-Scale List} PRR K7a in S Scale [2 Attachments]

[Attachment(s) from Bill Lane included below]

This morning, I got out what I think is my very first “major” S Scale project
from 1989, besides some painting some S Scale converted American Flyer cars.

I made 2 PRR K7a stock cars. I wanted to see them run on my layout. In spite of
some known accuracy shortcomings even at the time of building them, I think
they still stand out amongst other readily available S cars. This was before I
was into building and bashing in brass, so this proves I HAVE used plastic to
make stuff in S! It have just been a long time.

If you want to see & learn more about them, go here

Thank You,
Bill Lane
