You're not narrow minded enough. Ribbed and lettered wheels have been
available for several years in Sn3 from PBL. They're Code 93 as close as I
can tell (without taking a wheel off the axle and miking it).

Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: S Scale Loco & Supply new stainless steel wheels

I have to agree, it would be great if they were code 88 or, at the least,
had foundry marks on the front and a ribbed back option. Something similar
to what Kadee offers in HO although I'm not even sure that type of thing is
readily available in Proto48. Just want to see S moving ahead rather than
having simply adequate product.s

I will say I'm impressed with the SSL&S catalog and the quality of the new
castings looks much improved. I've heard several people mention that last
point. Simply having SSL&S as a player again makes us much more competitive
with other scales and brings some signs of life back the the old S Scale
corpse.
