Rusty--us old guys need to stay off bikes. While biking I was bitten
about 10 days ago--some kind of Pit Bull mix--but it wasn't that bad.
I also have my original hi-rail dockside drivers, and steel was the
material. I often wondered if it would good to machine them down to the
correct profile.
Our local Rusty (Paulus) once owned John Sudimack's one and only 2-8-0.
I talked him into trading it back to Jack. He received one of the few
2-4-0's that were also made plus an additional engine.

I fell off my bicycle and fractured my hip socket so it appears
that I will be confined to a wheel chair and my work bench for about a
month or so! I realize my problem pails in comparison to Sandy, but
this gives me a good reason to do some serious modeling. What you see
in the attachment is my preference. It isn't for every one but I love
it. I don't have a REX 0-6-0 but would like to add one of them some
day. One of the docksides is of the large flange variety and what
surprises me is that it has steel tires! All of the other docksides
I've seen had brass, code 125 tires. That is what is on the other
Dockside in the photo and also the 2-6-0. The Suburban has steel scale
tires.
