I've posted 2 pics to the Photos section showing Tichy Train Group plastic
see through "grate" material, part #8001 (same number, same part is listed for
HO or S)
First pic shows the material as it comes and narrowed to S running board
width. Second pic is the material next to a Kaslo stainless steel r.b. FWIW, I
could have cut the Tichy material one "rib" wider than I did, as it appears a
bit narrow. I used the original edge of the Tichy material glued back on to the
narrowed material.
One drawback to this stuff is the price, $3.50 for 3 & 5/8" so three are
needed for 40'cars and more for 50'. Another drawback is the many cross brace
ribs on the underside, seen in the pics.
A plus, if you could call it that, is the railing material that comes with
the package, Might be some use for it in the parts box.
