I get that response a lot when I ask about passenger cars. Somebody always
said, ³Oh, such and such company made those back in 1985.² Or, given better
eyesight and the patience of a previous era, I could buy plastic car sides
and build my own. Then my eyes REALLY start to glaze over.

Good grief, it's another sign of the apocolypse, I agree with John on
something else!  ;-)

That's been one of the mentalities holding S Scale back, the fact that
something's been done before.

It seems like every time a USRA light Mike is brought up, the response is
usually "But, Overland's already done them."

Yep, nothing helps to recruit new folks into S like having to tell them to
search the secondary market for things (relatively) common in the other
scales.
