<*>[Attachment(s) from North Stratford included below] Earl, Thank you for the offer but I finally determined how to scratchbuild Superior doors for my American Models 40' boxcars, see attached photo.
My initial request was for info regarding the 8' Superior door offered by The Supply Car. Smoky Mountain Model Works offers only a 6' door. I have no idea regarding the height of the doors...a check of their websites might have the info. Scratchbuilding allows me to build doors to any width with any number of panels and change the location of the various details. I may try pouring RTV molds but the doors might be too thin for resin castings...though it just might be fun to try!
