Hi Bob --
Thanks for posting! I have one of these cars coming as soon as Bob has
everything together...

I just finished up a Beta test of The Supply Car's newest Northern
Pacific radial roof box car kit and was so impressed that I wanted to
share the results. This is the 10' IH box car with Murphy 7/8 steel
ends. I also built a 8' IH radial roof box car a while back with wood
ends and a combination truss-rod/fish belly under-frame. Both were
really neat kits to build. These kits use the latest laser-cut
technology. I was something of a disbeliever until I actually got
going on them. I have attached photos of the 10' IH car under
construction and as painted, but not yet weathered. Note the unique
radial roof construction and the interlocking fish belly under-frame
pieces. The sides, ends, roof ribs, and roof walks are all peal &
stick technology. There is a full interior should one wish to model
the doors in the open position. The various detail parts are all
added (not in the kit) and are mostly Grandt Line On3 styrene. For
the purists, the prototype had a Miner (sp?) brake system, so the Ajax
brake wheel shown in the photos is a stand-in until I can get one from
Rusty in brass. This is also the first time I tried using the Archer
rivet decals and they worked out quite well on both the metal ends and
doors. Your comments are all welcome.
Coming next, as I understand it, is a radial roof NP refer. Now THAT
will be really cool!
