Should we be operating our SHS TOFCs using the raised or lowered landing gear
on the trailers?
My understanding of the collapsible hitch is that it takes all the weight of
the trailer, and hence, the landing gear should be raised--at least slightly.
Unfortunately, finding photos of 1950s TOFC with the collapsible hitch is not
easy--most show the earlier method of rachets and chains to attach the trailer
to the flat. What say ye, Don T. and others more knowledgeable than I?
